They did exactly what we wanted for a third of the cost. They were very responsive before, during and most importantly- after the job was complete. A month or so after the install, I noticed the job needed some more caulking. I contacted them and they came right out to make the repair! Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone wanting great value for their money. read less

Our adventure with MGI Granite began 8 months ago. Contract signed in June, paid deposit in July, work delayed until September. Ghosted by the owner for another months, after we had already demolished the kitchen. Only to have MGI knowingly attempt to install the wrong cabinets mid October! Allegedly, a prior employee, Genaro, had incorrectly measured the cabinets , and instead of coming out and doubling checking everything, they just tried to install the wrong cabinets and then act like we had somehow changed the order?! . After another 2 months with no kitchen at all, and endless gaslighting by the owner, the island was “temporarily installed”. The knee wall was damaged during that installation and they never installed the safety brackets for the overhang of the countertop DESPITE THEIR OWN SAFETY DISCLAIMER (mind you we have kids!) We cooked meals on plywood countertops which we installed on top of the two base cabinets from the end of November through February 2022. During that time, we endured endless excuses from the owner, Ed, all the while we are living with one upper and one base cabinet. The rest of the cabinets were installed terribly, not level, nothing operationally correct, and the owner had to send a different sub contractor out to try to fix it. Those guys were very nice, and did their best, but couldn’t unscrew this job. In fact, MGI didn’t even send them out with enough toe kick, and another incorrect cabinet. February 14, 2022, MGI Granite installed countertops which were fabricated too short, yet another MIS-MEASUREMENT (and again the owner, Ed, blames us for their inability to correctly operate a measuring tap). The likely truth is they cut the slabs months before the cabinets were correctly installed (I suspect in November when they installed the island). We are now in March and the owner has completely ignored all requests to satisfy their contractor for services.. If there is any semblance of advice we can give for potential future clients, stay far away from this company. Zero professionalism, zero customer service, just literally all of the qualities you don’t want for your project. Do not recommend-would give them a negative rating if I could. read less

He wanted me to wait for him for 15-30 mins, like I have nothing to do, but wait for him until he finishes all his business. Word of wisdom; as a business owner you should go the extra mile for your customer, and not the way around. If you have other things to do, don’t set up appointments with clients and make them wait for hours for your majesty to show up. read less

I kept having to text for updates because they would not answer calls and voice mail is not set up. Company is run by two guys who never answer calls. They promised their work to be done in 2 to 3 weeks. It took almost 4 months. I gave deposit on October 4th. They blamed Covid for shipping delays but when Quartz came in the week before Thanksgiving they blamed the holidays and being to busy to install. Did not install until January 24th. Then one was cut too short after coming to measure twice. I was originally told that my slab I was purchasing would barely cover my kitchen then they magically had enough to cut a new bigger piece..would never use them again or recommend to anyone. read less

First, the initial installation date was scheduled for the first week of January, but that got pushed for weeks due to all sorts of excuses that I will detail later, and my family didn't have anything but a temporary sink we had to install in the laundry room for a month. The installation didn't go very well because there was a lot of miscommunication between Ed and my wife and Ed and the installer (Dave), and because of a tweak to one of the cabinets the apron on one of the sinks couldn't be installed so Ed promised that they would finish up as soon as we called them, and Dave confirmed the same, so we agreed to pay in full. I reached back out on March 23 to get them to come back and after weeks of communicating with Ed and getting every excuse and explanation possible, and being told that I was wrong about everything, Dave finally made it out today to finish. What was odd about that though is that for weeks Ed was telling me that Dave needed the measurements (so I prepared them), and then Dave needed to know what edges needed to be honed (so I provided that), and then after waiting all of that time and jumping through Ed's hoops Dave just showed up yesterday to measure everything himself, and then he showed up today to install the final pieces. So, I am not sure why Ed felt like he and Dave were on the same page but clearly they were not and it seems as though Ed was just making things up in an attempt to buy time.In summary, Ed offers a fair price and then uses subcontractors to fulfill his quotes. He doesn't seem to have any control over his subcontractors so he just tries to keep people happy by providing excuses until the subcontractor arrives, and honestly, that probably works most of the time just fine. I wouldn't ever use Ed again because I feel like he lied over and over and over again when he probably could have just told me that he is doing his best to get the subcontractor to the project and was having a hard time doing so. I also don't like that Ed blamed my wife for problems that clearly weren't caused by her. She did make the project more complicated when the installation crew was on our site because she saw opportunities to make things better, but the vast majority of complications were caused because nothing was templated and the installer hadn't communicated well with Ed, and because the installer wasn't paying attention to the fixtures - they were just cutting holes for common fixtures instead of the right holes for our fixtures. Again though, for a simple project I doubt there would have been any problems, but ours was a very large project with details that needed to be paid attention to. read less
